Pick up STicks!!

Stacking logs reminds me of the childhood game of "Pick up STicks"! It reminds me how careful one has to be when taking logs from a tall stack. If not careful; you might find yourself under pile of wood! UG! A broken foot might be the result if not worst. What I like about it is the exercise: one of the hidden treasures I mentioned in blog HOPE!

Let's look forward to the good things winter brings!! Thanks for your sharing with our Blue Mt Blog some of the good things you're looking for this winter!!!

Looking Forward with Hope!

The mountain is covered with clouds......On top of Ole Smokey!!

The day is overcast but warm...........O' what a beautiful morning!

A few heart healthy tips for the day: Get out & walk when the weather good; bend & stretch your muscles as much as you can tolerate without exerting too much effort; start slow and build up your stamina and just enjoy the beauty of God's gift of nature in all ways!

Breathe in & breathe out slowly at least 5-10 times regularly With each breath repeat one word to yourself (my word for today is LOVE) inhale love & exhale love spreading your love energy to the top of Blue Mountain!!!

Looking Forward with Hope!

The past few days in Blue have been delightful! Indian summer helps cut down on the use of logs for heating the house.

There are so many hidden treasures to living "on top of Ole Smokey"!! Today Blue looks a lot like "ole smokey"; the white clouds are resting comfortably on top of the mountain; the temp is around 60 degrees and it's a good day to get some outdoor work done. A healthy lifestyle consists of daily exercise; what better way to exercise then to walk 1/2 block to the wood shed for logs; walk outside a take several deep breaths opening up your airway and oxygenating your brain. It's a great place to live here in the Adirondack Mountains. Bend & Stretch:

Lifting the logs and stacking them close to the house is my primary objective but the bonus is as I bend to lift a log I'm using muscles in my arms & legs. I've played tennis for many years but this exercise is invigorating.

My "looking forward" this morning is toward those cold winter days when my out of doors may be limited ,but as I reflect on "Today" I'll be able to share in this post the special way using wood to heat the house on those below freezing days is one way to get started on a health & wellbeing fitness program. When there is snow on the ground & I'm unable to get out to the wood shed I try to continue doing similar exercises indoors!

Wood Stacking in Blue

Day in and Day out the sun rises over Blue Mt Lake when it's not overcast. Today we are all set to stack wood for the winter days ahead. What is there to look forward to? Well I'll begin with a loving gaze at the morning sky; filled with white twinkling lights: STAR Light STAR Bright! The sky was filled with stars at 5Am this morning and I was in a trance! Stay tuned for the next post looking forward!
